Modern Materials and Techniques

Implants:

For implants Dr. Charng utilizes cone beam computed tomogrophy (CBCT) scans and surgical guides. This results in a shorter procedure time and more ideally placed implants than traditional techniques.

Ceramic Restorations

Dr. Charng utilizes all ceramic restorations for crowns, veneers, and onlays utilizing the most modern materials such as Bruxzir Zirconia and Ivoclar IPS e.max. This allows for the best esthetics, longevity, and fit. The ceramic crowns are made by highly trained dental technicians who use CAD/CAM computer aided design and manufacturing.

White Colored Fillings

Dr. Charng continually reads Clinical Studies to keep abreast of the leading materials to use. Composite white colored fillings are restored using the Ultradent V3 sectional matrix system for improved contour and contacts. The composite fillings used are 3M Filtek Supreme nano composite material for long term durability, natural esthetics, superior polish retention, and wear resistance similar to enamel.

Root Canals

For root canals Dr. Charng uses rotary endodontics utilizing the latest materials and techniques with Dentsply WaveOne gold Nickel Titanium rotary files and obturation.

Philips Zoom WhiteSpeed

The newest generation Zoom WhiteSpeed whitening system which utilizes an LED light for improved results and less patient sensitivity. A major benefit of the Zoom whitespeed as compared to older Zoom models is the ability to lower the light intensity during treatment when a patient begins to develop sensitivity (“zingers”).  This allows patients to complete the 3 sessions and not sacrifice results by ending the session early.
