Regular dental exams are a very important part of preventative health care. The exam consists of checking for cavities and gum disease. Regular dental x-rays allow for thorough diagnoses. A screening for oral cancer is also completed during the exam. The exams allows us to monitor and provide tips on caring for your teeth as well as detecting any problems early – when they are most treatable. Even if you no longer have natural teeth, it’s important for regular exams to maintain oral health and the usefulness of your replacement teeth. A routine dental exam is recommended every 6 months.
