Canker Sores are uncomfortable shallow ulcers who’s exact cause is unknown. They are linked with stress, tissue injury, and vitamin deficiency. Certain foods such as citrus or acidic fruits and vegetables can also trigger a canker sore. Treatments are focused on pain and comfort management.Canker sores are not to be confused with cold sores. Cold sores are painful fluid filled blisters that are caused by a virus and are contagious. Also, cold sores normally appear outside the mouth while canker sores occur inside the mouth.
